This recipe uses up the half-cup of pumpkin puree that I have left over from making the Joy of Cooking pumpkin bread.

First try: I made the dough too wet, 3 cups of flour isn't a very exact measurement. It IS supposed to be a wet dough but it never came together as nicely as his did.

I started this too late in the day (10:00 is too late!) so I doubled the yeast. That plus being too wet didn't give it enough time to develop gluten. Despite that, the flavor is good. I would definitely make it again (but I can't due to lack of pumpkin!)
